This Privacy Policy explains how Patch (“we,” “us,” or “our”) processes information when you use the Patch platform.
1. Roles & Responsibilities
- You are the data controller
- Your VoIP provider records and stores calls
- Patch acts as a data processor
Patch does not record calls.
2. Information Patch Processes
Temporarily Processed (Not Stored)
- Call transcripts or audio made available by your VoIP provider
- Processed ephemerally in memory only
- Discarded immediately after analysis
Information Stored
Patch stores only:
- Call metadata (timestamps, duration, direction)
- Outcome classifications
- Tags and system indicators
- Short sanitized evidence snippets
Patch does not store:
- Full call transcripts
- Call recordings
- Raw audio
- Searchable conversation text
3. Sanitization & Sensitive Data
Before analysis, Patch sanitizes transcripts to remove sensitive information.
Examples of redaction placeholders:
- {{CARD}} — payment card numbers
- {{CVV}} — security codes
- {{EXPIRY}} — expiration dates
Sensitive data is never retained and is not sent to AI systems in raw form.
4. How Patch Uses Information
Patch uses information solely to:
- Determine call outcomes
- Generate dashboards and reports
- Improve classification accuracy
- Provide customer support
Patch does not sell personal data.
5. Automated Processing
Patch uses automated systems to analyze calls.
Important clarifications:
- Each call is processed independently
- AI systems do not retain memory across calls
- Transcripts are not used to train external models unless explicitly agreed
6. Data Retention
- Call transcripts and audio: not retained
- Stored metadata and classifications: retained while your account is active
Because transcripts are never stored, they cannot be accessed, exported, or deleted from Patch.
7. Security
Patch uses reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including:
- Access controls
- Encrypted connections
- Least-privilege internal access
8. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights regarding your data.
Please note:
- Patch cannot provide transcript access or deletion
- Requests related to recordings or transcripts must be directed to your VoIP provider
